A very nice Christmas story →
I just received an email from my District Manager with this link and the commentary below.  I love stories like this!! “When you have 2 spare minutes to look at it, I figured I would share this with each of you as we are at the holidays.  It TRULY represents what giving is all about.  This story is about some very good friends of our family.  Duane and I grew up together.  Their daughter...

simple life goal
— For today to be better than yesterday.  Every day. — That’s seriously tough to do, because I try to somehow make all of my days just fabulous, no matter what.  I’d say lately I’ve done a pretty good job of meeting my life goal…

11 Reasons I will NEVER take meth →
I would’ve never taken meth anyway, but after seeing these pictures I kind of feel sick.  I’ve heard the phrase “meth mouth” and I’ve seen a few people that I’ve thought hmmmm, they don’t look healthy.  But seriously…if you’ve ever used this drug or are considering using it for any reason, please read this.  Look at these pictures.  I know...

Thanksgiving Lunch with the family
Everyone: (random chatter, everyone talking across the table, louder than the others)
Everyone: (eventually gets to the topic of "Brook's Blog")
Jan: Brook, have we told you the Brook's Blog story?
Brook: Ummm
Half the table: (rolls eyes, not-again fashion)
Jan: (laaaughs) Oh you have to hear this. So a month or so ago we were all sitting around the table at lunch after church just talking. And the subject of your blog came up. We were laughing and talking about different stuff it said and funny stuff we read, when your Dad says "I've been so busy I haven't seen Brook's blog in a few months". And Robert looks up from his plate, half confused, half disgusted and says kind of sternly, "Well I should hope not!!!!". And everyone just laaaaaughed. I STILL don't think he knows what a blog is.
Robert: I was just kidding!
Cheryl (his wife): NO you weren't. You still don't know.
Dad: (whispers and signals to me) This is about the 10th time we've heard the story. Let's see how many times she tells it today.
Everyone: (Keeps talking. People walking in and out. Story being retold and retold)
Dad: (5-10 minutes later) This story will never get old to her. She's told it 8 times in 10 minutes and there's no end in sight. This one will probably last another 15 years in her mind as good, solid humor. We will eventually hate the Brook's Blog story.
