The holidays in pictures…
I packed up the car with more presents and stuff and clothes than I thought it could carry. Then piled the dogs in the back and picked up Jim from work to head to see my family and his over the long Christmas weekend. It was amazing.
I don’t want to come off the wrong way here but I am so glad to have the family that I do. I have fun with them and with Jim’s family. On our drive back to Raleigh after Christmas shenanigans Jim and I were talking about our favorite times together or our favorite trips we’ve taken so far. We both agreed that our most favorite trips over the last year and a half involved our families. We’ve been to some awesome places together, with groups of people and with just the two of us - and loved every minute of it - but I think we both realized how lucky we are to be able to say hanging out with our families was more fun than a trip to St. Lucia or Las Vegas or New Orleans, etc. Not many people can say that about their family or their significant other’s family…and I am beyond thankful that I can.
