The holidays in pictures…
It’s not New Years in SC unless you have your champagne-filled red solo cups on the beach. Actually it wasn’t planned, but we a had an excess amount of champagne left over after our New Year’s Eve dinner and celebration back at the house. Yea, that’s what I said…we couldn’t manage to drink all the champagne we had and here’s why:
We not only had the multiple bottles each couple brought, but when we went to dinner our waiter sent us home with 4, yes four FREE bottles of to go champagne. They had a $44 special that included 2 entrees, 2 salads and a bottle of champagne. Only Jim and I got the special but the waiter “didn’t want to leave anyone out” so he sent us packing with some pretty decent champagne…not your Andre or Cooks variety haha.
But seriously - one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Sea Merchants Restaurant more than exceeded my expectations. (they don’t have a website so it links to Urban Spoon) Great service, DELICIOUS food, whether it was steak, seafood, or chicken. All of it.
